Pneumatic CBUs
Main application areas are eccentric presses, punching presses and other presses controlled by single strokes e.g. toggle and crank presses. Additionally to press drives they are also installed in printing, weaving and woodworking machinery.
Installation of this dry running combination:
In the single disc clutch, combined with a spring-applied single disc brake, there is a choice between internal parts made of special light metal or grey cast iron with variable measurements.
Use with air pressure of 5,5 to 6,0 bar; variable torque between clutch and brake are possible.

Pneumatically engaged CBU with friction segments
Pneumatically operated clutch-brake-units CBU for mechanical presses.
Light metal execution, was brought on the the market by us in 1969. Small moment of inertia, low weight, radially removable friction segments. Better heat dissipation, narrower brake angle.

TYP 52/81
Pneumatically engaged CBUs with friction discs (standard)
CBU type 52 and CBU type 81 are identical, except that type 52 is produced from grey cast iron and type 81 from light metal. The Material is GG30 instead of aluminium, on load change the CBU can easily be replaced by the aluminium execution. The clutch and brake torque can be varied relative to one an other, e.g. reduce the brake and the calculated difference increases the clutch torque, this is true for all CBU types 35 / 81 / 52 / 521
